She is Vice-President of CataloniaBio. She has a Master’s degree in Business Education from IESE and a degree in Chemistry from the University of Barcelona.
Josep Lluís has 16 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. He has worked for big pharma companies (Sanofi), mid-size pharmas (Ferrer Grupo), small biotechs (spin-off), Tech Transfer Offices (University of Barcelona) and consultancies (Antares Consulting and Asphalion).
Josep Lluís has founded 3 companies and he is mentor of several entrepreneurs. His experience is based in Healthcare Strategy, Technology Transfer, Fundraising of start-up companies, Marketing, Market Access, Reimbursement, Business Development and Regulatory Affairs. The projects in which Josep Lluís has been involved are based in small chemical entities and biologicals. The therapeutic areas where he has worked are Oncology, Central Nervous System, Antibacterials, Immunomodulation and Cardiovascular. He has global knowledge of drug development, having worked in Discovery, Preclinical and Clinical phases, Marketing and Post-Marketing.
Antonio Gomez has almost 20 years of experience in the pharma industry. Right before getting a PhD in Synthetic Organic chemistry from the University of Salamanca he joined the Janssen R&D group in Toledo as a medicinal chemist in 1996. In 2000 he spent one year in the Research Support group of Janssen Pharmaceutica at Beerse, Belgium. Then, he came back to Toledo, where he has held different positions coordinating first the internal projects, then the scientific IT with a special role in the development of the Janssen R&D Electronic Lab Notebook and, since 2012, the external collaborations. Starting in late 2013 this role has been integrated into the position of Liaison in Spain for the London Johnson & Johnson Innovation Center. As such he is in charge of scouting the Spanish scientific landscape and setting up collaborations in the country

He has broad experience in the fields of innovation and advisory work in universities, research centres, technology companies and the creation of companies as well as technology transfer and intellectual property, research collaboration contracts, international and national research consortia.

She has experience of private companies in the areas of marketing and trade and has been responsible for more than 6 years for the Area of Entrepreneurship and Company Creation of the UAB Research Park. She has guided more than 300 new business projects on the UAB campus.
CEO of Spherium Biomed S.L (formerly Janus Developments). He has a PhD in molecular biology and after ten years’ academic research in Spain (Spanish National Research Council, University of Barcelona) and the USA (Roche, Mount Sinai NY), in 1997 he began his business career at Almirall, as a project manager and business developer. In 2001 he left Almirall to take part in the creation of Advancell, where he acted as CEO from the start until 2008 when he left that post to create Janus. In 2002 he participated in the creation of ERA-Plantech (now ERA-Biotech). He is a founder of CataloniaBio (the Catalan association of biotechnology companies) and a member of the board.
He has a degree and a PhD in Biochemistry from the INSA Lyon and the University of Montpellier, respectively. From 2009 to 2013 he worked in the Projects unit of the Institute of Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC). In November 2013 he joined the PRUAB team to get the new area of Project Financing and Management up and running and to coordinate it.

He has a degree in medicine and Surgery from the UAB, an MBA from the UB and a diploma in strategic management of SMEs, he spent the first few years as a medical practitioner in Birmingham (UK) and Barcelona. In 1998 he began to work in the pharmaceutical industry, first at Sanofi and second at the Grupo Ferrer with responsibility for international marketing. In 2002 he founded Trifermed, a company specialising in project management in the area of Partnerships in Life Sciences, with more than 120 agreements signed among companies in the sector worldwide. He is a member of different international organisations in the sector (Canadian Healthcare Licensing Association, Oxford Biosciences Network, One Nucleus, Licensing Executive Society), a speaker in different international forums and a tutor in the Department of General Management and Strategy – Entrepreneurship Institute of ESADE.
He is currently head of the Office of valorisation and Patents of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. He has degrees in Chemistry and Biochemistry from the University of Barcelona, a Master’s degree in Applied Economics and he has taken specialist courses in industrial property at several international centres. He has been a European Patents Agent since he passed the European Qualifying Examination in 2012.
Formed in Berkeley, Paris and MBA from ESADE, Albert Ventura founded and currently participates in several projects companies as a partner and advisor, included Capital Cell, a crowdfunding platform for biotechnology projects, AirWaters, the Imagine Creativity Center or Icar Vision Systems.
